Three pizza sauces: TABASCO Red, Chipotle or sriracha?

Pizza’s on the table. What would you add: a little tang, smoke or garlic? These three sauces give you different options without buying a shelf full of bottles. We compare their ingredients; the pizza pairings are suggestions to try, rather than tasting scores.

TABASCO Red: for a simple pepper sauce

TABASCO Red has three ingredients: distilled vinegar, red pepper and salt. It is a useful reference when choosing between a straightforward pepper sauce and a recipe with garlic, sugar or smoked peppers. Start with a few drops instead of covering the whole slice.

Try a few drops on a single bite of cheese or pepperoni pizza. This direction makes sense when you want heat and acidity, and your toppings already supply sweetness or garlic. If you dislike vinegary sauces, consider another option first.

Flying Goose Sriracha Chili Sauce: for garlic and sweetness

The manufacturer’s ingredients include 61% chilli, sugar syrup and garlic. That recipe offers a different starting point from the three ingredients in TABASCO Red. Check the variant: this comparison refers to Original Sriracha, rather than Super Hot or a ginger version.

Consider trying it with mushrooms, onions or roasted peppers. If your pizza already has a sweet barbecue sauce, decide whether you want another sweet addition. When sharing several pizzas, serve sriracha on the side so everyone can season their own slice.

TABASCO Chipotle: for a smoky pepper flavor

The ingredient list starts with red jalapeño peppers smoked over wood. It also includes vinegar, sugar, onion and garlic. This is a different recipe from classic Red: sharing a brand name does not mean sharing the same flavor or ingredients.

Try a small amount with chicken, roasted peppers or mushroom pizza. If you already have smoked cheese or barbecue sauce, season one bite first. You can then decide whether you want another smoky layer.

Which bottle should you start with?

Choose one sauce for a pizza you already enjoy. After the first meal, you will have a better idea whether your next bottle should bring more garlic, smoke or tang. For a shared order, put the sauce beside the box and let everyone season their own slice.

Check the exact version before buying

The cards below link to three specific versions: TABASCO Red 59 ml, Flying Goose Sriracha Chili Sauce 455 ml and TABASCO Chipotle, listed as 148 ml in the atlas and 150 ml by the linked retailer. The small Red bottle may also appear as 60 ml at a shop. Check the bottle label, size and final offer before ordering. A large sriracha bottle is not a direct price comparison with a small TABASCO bottle.

Open the sauce’s atlas page, choose your delivery country and follow a current shop offer. The retailer handles payment and delivery. For an order to Poland, check the cost of the whole basket: these sauces may come from different shops, with separate delivery charges.

Use the label on the bottle you buy as the final ingredient reference. Recipes can vary between markets. Prices and availability change too, so current offers live on the product pages.
